The right balance between surgery and natural beauty

There is a special aesthetic balance that goes into someone’s cosmetic surgery. Great surgery is a hidden art; people should automatically assume that you’ve always looked that way. However, you still want to have that body image you’ve been dreaming of. But how do you achieve that happy medium? In short, it requires the right artistic and technical expertise on the part of your surgeon. That goes for if you want to get rid of cellulite, obtain a fat transfer breast augmentation, or get any other kind of procedure. Here are just a few things that Dr. Gartner keeps in mind in order to make sure that your surgery looks as believable as possible.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

One of the first things to consider with cosmetic surgery is what you can and cannot do with your current body. Any adjustments that we make have to realistically match your body’s current condition. For example, if you would like to lose a large amount of weight, you should first try a diet and exercise regiment. If you still have pesky fat deposits despite the exercise, then we can start considering procedures to get rid of cellulite and fat.

AGE

The same principle applies to age. You want your facelift to look natural. But if you are 50-years old, then you are not going to look like a 15-year-old. What we can do is get you close to a 35-year-old (depending on your body’s condition). Anything beyond that would be an unnatural look. There are several celebrities that look as though they never age. But that is not necessarily the case. Notice how Jennifer Aniston does not look like she is 20-years-old. She convincingly looks like a happy, rejuvenated 30-40 year old (even though she is nearing 50). The goal of cosmetic surgery is not to profoundly turn back time. It is to rejuvenate your current body to make it look as best as it can possibly look in your current age.

PROPORTIONS

Another important thing to consider is how much your adjustments will stand out when compared to the rest of your body. For instance, if you are looking for a fat transfer breast augmentation, then you should probably aim for a realistic breast size. You do not want them to be too large, or they might make the rest of your body look too small in comparison. The same goes vice versa.

Everyone is different. There is no one-size fits all approach to cosmetic make-overs. Some people may require a simple contour in order to get rid of cellulite and excess skin. Others may need a more dramatic readjustment (i.e. a fat transfer breast augmentation or a Brazilian Butt lift). That is why Dr. Gartner is here to personally discuss the best possible procedure for your needs.
