Are you a good hair restoration candidate?
If you are a man or woman who has noticed thinning hair due to aging, genetics, trauma or other reason, then you may be a candidate. You should be generally healthy. Your hair loss should be mild to moderate, and you should still have a sufficient amount of hair on the back and sides of your scalp, where donor hair will be taken from.
However, the only way to really know if you’re a suitable candidate for surgery is by talking to Dr. Gartner during your private medical consultation.

Your hair transplant recovery
You will receive a comprehensive list of care instructions which will help ensure that you recover quickly and see optimal results from your treatment.
Right after your treatment, you may be able to see an instant improvement. Some drainage may occur, but this normal part of the inflammatory process will be minor and temporary. Please make sure to take care when showering or when engaging in any activity as the hair grafts may become displaced if too much force is applied. You’ll notice that the grafts may be slightly raised for a week or two after your treatment and may scab over, but they’ll gradually become level as you recover.
When may you return to work?
You can actually return to work the day after your procedure unless stated otherwise.
When may you return to the gym?
Hair transplant patients are typically advised to wait for one to two weeks before resuming strenuous exercise.
Hair restoration considerations and risks
Short term discomfort after a hair transplant may include discomfort and sensitivity in the areas treated. Risks include infection, bleeding, and undesirable results. Please note that more than one treatment may be needed to touch up and achieve your goals.
